Blackhawks Move On To Face Wild In NHL Playoffs

St Louis BluesThe Blues finished up their season this week, unfortunately, with a loss to the Minnesota Wild in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. There’s no reason to hang your heads though, it was still a very successful season and we enjoyed every minute of it!

The Blues ended the regular season tied with the Ducks for most points in the Western Conference, with another 100 point season under their belts. They also discovered some huge pieces to their future. Goalie Jake Allen took charge of the position late in the season and several other young players, including Vladimir Tarasenko, Jaden Schwartz, Jori Lehetra and Kevin Shattenkirk stepped up their game to become stars. Tarasenko provided several ridiculous highlight reel moments and generated excitement every time he touched the puck.

Blues ownership also stepped up again this year. Dennis Stillman and the ownership group authorized the Blues to spend all the way up to the cap, giving the team every opportunity to succeed. Blues fans sold out the arena too – it’s one of the best venues and crowds in the league, and the Blues had massive fan support in their building all year long. We were always proud to have our ads on the Fox Sports Midwest broadcast, and feel like we are a part of the team this year. We’re looking forward to seeing another championship-caliber team on the ice next season. Go Blues!
